hello two thousand twelve!

last night we said good-bye to two-thousand-eleven and welcomed in the new year, 2012.

the hostest with the mostest, meagan, threw a fun little get together at her cute house in brea with balloons, finger foods, silver and black decor, party poppers, & sparkling cider.

we celebrated with the bestest friends, played an intense game of taboo,

watched the ball drop at the stroke of midnight.

...& i sealed it with a kiss from mister.

there was a lot of fun in 2011, and a little of not so fun.

i learned to be a better sister, daughter, friend, and wife.

i learned that if me and mister are happy, then life is good.

i learned that there really are some mean people out there

& am still learning to not let the past make me bitter, but better.

our family said goodbye to our dog baby gia & welcomed a new baby girl, mia.

i worked and schooled a lot and mister worked and studied more.

we had lots of fun dinners with our favorites & my bestest friend got married to her boy.

we moved and finally decorated our place to make it a home.

after reading a fortune that said, "you will be called upon to celebrate some good news" 

a few hours later mister received a job offer at a CPA firm literally ten minutes from our house.

resolutions are still being made for me and mister, but definitely include:

more temple trips, scripture reading, praying, eating healthy, drinking water, less arguing, more love!, nursing applications, painting, cooking, passed cpa exam, journal keeping, picture taking, & baby making. 

we'll see about the last one {haha}, 

but i have a feeling 2012 is going to be good to us!
