baseball, dinner, and a movie

mister loves his sports.
 he especially loves watching them.
& what's better than watching someone you actually know play in the major leagues?!

ever since i remember, david has been following brett pill, his neighbor from covina, as he played in the minor leagues. he would tell me all about his games; when he had a good one and when he had a bad one. mister was waiting and waiting for them to call brett up to the big leagues, and a few weeks ago, they did!
he is now a san francisco giant. when brett had his first game, in san diego, david drove all the way down there after work just to watch him play, and he definitely wasn't disappointed. brett hit a home run at his first at bat in the major leagues. something that rarely happens. needless to say, david was very happy and excited for him.

this last week, the giants played the dodgers so mister, me, frank, nick, & reese made our way over to watch them play. it was a lot of fun, and so cool to see brett play.

friday night was date night.
we strolled down to second street in belmont shore and ate at one our favorites, La Strada.
it was fun sitting out on the patio and people watch as everyone walked by.
after dinner we walked down second street to one of the three starbucks they have (crazy, right?!)
and got some hot chocolates.
then we were off to see Moneyball at the marina theater.
i thought the movie was pretty good, just dragged a little towards the end.
